The Law about French Plates

French license plates are NOT legal on British registered cars on U.K. roads. (Although there is not much difference)

All our French plates are sold strictly for show use, and for using off public roads.
You will have seen many cars with French plates on (The M20 is full of them - but they normally are genuine French cars). By having these plates on your car, you do take the risk of a £30 fine if stopped by the police, but no points on your license yet! (Correct at time of writing)

The above is for UK cars only, please check in your Country what is and what is not legal before ordering.

Important note

In France it is LAW that the plates are fixed to the car using a 5mm Pop Rivet, the French police (gendarmes) might be pointing a revolver through your windows IF they are NOT rivetted to the car with yellow head pop rivets (rear) or white for the front! A customer who lives in France has told as about people that have flouted this little known rule and the gendarmes take this very seriously, so take care!

Many thanks
